clicking noise when turning
I have not been driving my car recently for several reasons.. mainly my rear bearings are SHOT, they howl like you've never heard.. Finally got the chance to do them today. It is so much better.... now my front bearings are making noise tho (obviously was drowned out by the rear), but I also noticed when turning the wheels to come out of a parking spot (from a stop, not moving) a popping type noise... The first assumption is the cv joints.. but I JUST replaced the boots and made sure to have plenty of grease in them, it's possible they need to be replaced, but before i rip that apart again is there any other possibilities? I'm not familiar with tie rods making noise but thats the only other component I can really think of that COULD be a culprit... Anyone have any input? Thanks!!
--- the noise only happens for a few seconds @ full turn, and doesn't happen once it's warmed up (end of drive, or during driving, it was about 20 degrees here earlier when it happened and the car had been sitting, it has happened twice, both in the early morning around this temp and without being warm...)
