Default Oops. I broke off the hose that the f-hose goes into.

It's a corrugated hose about 1/2" in diameter that runs back to a little gizmo with 5 hoses comming from it just behind the engine.

I can get to the other end, but I'm wondering how these hoses are attached. There aren't any clamps on the other end....look like there might be something like heat shrink holding it on?

Anyone have to replace this? It would be nice if I could remove that hose and make up something from Home Depot.

Bad news. IIRC you have to replace that entire assembly, unless you can rig it back together.

Default Same thing happened to me. I ran a thick hose from the f-hose under the intake manifold back to the

little gizmo and held them on with clamps. Has worked fine for about 5 months.

Default More details, please! Did you remove the existing hose all the way back?

Or did you cut it off and run your new hose over the top of the existing one?

If you were able to remove it...was it by putting a screwdriver blade in and wiggling it loose?

Default By the way...according to the Bentley, it's the crankcase vent "collector"

It also looks like theirs another check valve in line.

Default Just replace the whole spider hose. It's not that bad...

and then you have the entire problem fixed. I went through that a few months ago.

Default Well, I just patched it together with some 5/8" and some 1/2" heater type hose.

Seems to work.

Just like everything else on this car, it always seems like it takes 10 times as long due to the cramped quarters.

I'd take another 4" of car length and another 2 or 3" of width to make it possible to service w/o so much pain. 2 more inches befor the firewall and 2 more between the engine front and the radiators would make things so much easier!

Stupid f-hose was still good after 63 months.
