Default Rear 12v and ground source?

Can anyone direct me to a source to tap into a switch on 12v and ground in the rear of the car, preferably somewhere under the rear passanger seat?

Thanks in advance.

There is an ignition wire on the chassis controller, but I wouldn't call that good.

Ground is wherever you please. Remove seat and take a gander. Pull up on the front of the seat it will pop out.

I have the rear seat out right now and I was thinking to use the bolt that holds the seatbelt in place. I still haven't been able to find a 12v source in the rear yet.

Where is this wire you speak of?

Ohh god, don't actually use that... I was joking about the switched Vbatt. that should power the chassis controller under the seat (aluminium box). I think that one controls the ESP. I wouldn't mess with it.

What are you trying to power?

Ohh forgot, any bolt back there (of sufficient sizing) should be a good enough ground. I used one of the trunk "net" mount points for my amplifier ground.

There is a switched 12V on the bose amp not sure if it is radio switched or ignition switched.

Backup camera. It just needs to power on when the car is switched on. I don't want to use the power on the reverse lights as it is only powered when the car is put into reverse and there will be a delay waiting for the camera to power on.

BTW, thanks for the help with this. It's driving me nuts that I can't find one quickly.

I would imagine that there would be one on the central locking unit. If all else failes just run one from the front of the car. Its really easy to add a wire by pulling up the trim around the edges of the carpet.
