Default Visited Audi AG and QUESTIONS.....Recaro Seat update.

Okay,

I went to Ingolstadt today. You know they are making money because there is construction everywhere. I will post pictures come on June 1 as I have to get them developed. I go back there tomorrow.

First off, I RODE in an RS4. That's right, it's not a typo. It was a similar red one as the one in the show. What a beautiful car. Great exhaust sounds. Interior is nothing special except those fantastic guages. I wan't that cluster! I'll try to order that tomorrow from the accessories and parts at Audi AG tomorrow.

More immediately I have run into a problem with the Euro Recaros. Apparently, from the service department at Audi AG, there is a difference in mounting the MANUAL seats into a car that's setup for ELECTRIC seats. Can anyone confirm this???

He said that mounting points in the chassis is different. I doubt this as they wouldn't make that much of a change between the two chassis just for the seats.

Secondly, can someone dig up the interior color code for Onyx Napa leather, and the exterior code for Imola Yellow?

There are several black interiors for them to get the seat right.

And third...The Recaro's are 4000DM (approx $2,000 each). I don't know if this is doable.

I need quick answers...

Default Nor worth it, you can get custom Recaro seats for less than that guaranteed to fit from Recaro.

Exterior Paint Code for Imola Yellow is 1T1T

The leather code depends on the leather type. Silk Nappa (WML-BS where BS is stands for the onyx) or Pearl Nappa (WMM-AZ where AZ stands for onyx-silver).

Wasn't the S4 only available with the Napa leather with an alcantara option? If so then it's WML-BS

I'm not sure about 2000, but 2001 has both leather programs.

Thanks for the info. The 2000 only had the Napa. I'll know more tomorrow.

Default Electric seats

It's possible that the Recaros don't fit the standard seat chassis. I have the standard seats on my S4 (electric) and my neighbour has the Recaros (also electric). And now comes the point: with the electric Recaro seats to move in the length you must do it by a manual lever. All other functions are electric! That's true for european S4's (actually Switzerland).<p>Marc
