question: At what rpm should i change gear...
#2
You might want to join the Audi Quattro Club and take one of their driving courses. Meanwhile .....
Always drive in control as you learn to "feel" your way through the gears. The tach gives you a reference but road, traffic, and weather conditions are all factors in acceleration efficiency and speed. Generally try to reach 5500-6000 in 1st and 2nd, you'll be well on your way to 60 by 3rd if you've had the accelerator to the floor in between each of these gear shifts. Also remember the TT has a "cutoff" at around 6500-7000 RPM to protect the car from over-aggressive drivers. Just push in the clutch and grab the next gear. Have fun!!!!

Clutch in, hold on limiter, release clutch, at 6500, clutch in (Keep on gas), shift, clutch out.
Work the controls as fast as you can. And it will be the quickest one around. That is what you asked for, is it not?

If you're having fun, about 5.6k to 5.8k rpm when you start. that should keep you under
6.4 k by the time you finish the shift. Enough charts have been posted on this forum indicating a bit less than 6k gets you there quickest.
To save some gas, around 4.5 k or so isn't bad but you ought to have some fun several times per day -
