Odd Steering Feedback
So I was taking out the car and driving on the highway over the weekend and noticed something odd.
When I was going around 60 mph I could feel that the steering was a little "off".
Meaning it was tight when I turned left and right but there seemed to be a dead spot in the center. Almost as if the active steering wasn't properly calibrated. When I would turn the steering wheel left or right I would feel tight steering, then loose, then tight again.
The odd thing was that on a straight highway I was forced to make these small steering adjustments just to keep the car straight.
When I finally got off the highway I thought about the previous articles where you could stop the car and turn the steering wheel all the way left and right again to reset it. I was about to do that, but the issue seemed to have fixed itself. I'm pretty sure it was related to the speed sensitive steering and somehow the programming got confused.
Anyone else experience this?

Yes, I've experienced what you are describing. I've mentioned it in this thread:

I did take it in for the TSB recall where I believe the steering wheel was updated. I have not experienced it since that last drive, I normally keep the car in Auto mode, I heard leaving it in Dynamic removes this as an issue. So definitely seems attributed to speed sensitive steering.
The only thing I remember doing anything with the car recently was doing a factory reset to get the Audi MMI to connect to the new user ID setup for the new site.
Other than that, nothing was done...
