How often do you rotate your tires?
I know that our manual specifies no interval, but that if you have to do it, move them from front to back on the same side.
Now I know this may be dependant on the tire deisgn. My all seasons will probably last 40-50k, so I think I am going to rotate mine around 15-20k.
Has anyone had an issues? For example, on my 93 Altima, I waited too long, and the rear tires became scalloped. I felt this as a vibration on the front when I rotated them. The tires were perfectly balanced, but had high and low spots all the way around. If you spun the tire on teh balancer, and then touched some chalk to it, you would only hit the high spots. This happened because the rear was lighter than the front. The tires had to be scrapped.
ANyways, any interesting tire rotation stories?

Believe or not, in the summer, I rotate them every 2 to 3 weeks usually with less then 1000 miles...
on them. No I'm not crazy, I have the opportunity to do it that often because of the autocross competition I do in the summer time. Since I have to install R compound tires at every events I simply rotate my street tires at the same time.

Hey Chris, I'm assuming you mean 5000 to 7500 miles and not kilometers, right?...
I have been told by many people in the know, that they suggest doing a rotation after no more then 5000 kilometers (3100 miles), especially if you have ultra high performance tires, a lowered suspension with more aggressive settings and if you are an aggressive driver. What are your thoughts on this?
