Installing Ecode FMIC: suggestions for ease of installation and Vaggin' it for before and after?

Installing Ecode FMIC: suggestions for ease of installation and Vaggin' it for before and after?
Just received the ecode FMIC and am planning on installing it this weekend with some friends.
Have the ecode FMIC pdf installation file and reviewed over it few times. From the looks of it looks pretty simple not requiring any major tools other than a dremel.
Was wondering if you fellas had any suggestions for the ease of installation based upon your previous experiences. Perhaps, tools that could have been useful that were not included in the installtion instruction and etc. Will be putting the car up on some ramps for the install.
Also, do I need to have some G12plus coolant to flush out the system?
Further, what Vag channels could I use to gauge the differences before and after?
