Overheating engine - could it be a bad thermostat?
Some of you may have seen my other posts but I'm trying to eliminate all possibilities before I take it to the stealership!
Sysmptoms after replacing my rear coolant flange:
* Over heats after 5 minutes of driving to the 3/4 level on the gauge, then fan kicks in
* I'm constantly bleeding & refilling the system.
* No apparent leaks but I get condensation build up on inside of windshield.
Also, could it be the engine temperature sensor in the coolant flange? I didn't replace this when I did the flange but wish I had for peace of mind.
My greatest fear is that I've cracked the head from adding water to a hot engine or that I've damages the head gasket. Would I still be able to go for short drives if any of these had occured? What are the symptoms?

Re: condensation build up on inside of windshield, points towards a blown heater core...
as I previously posted, you "need" to get the system pressure tested.
Then get the heater core pressure tested.
Then get the heater core pressure tested.

it may be the H20 pump, how many miles do you have on the car? ...
Try warming the car up at idle and turn the heater on to full heat. If you don't get warm air from the vents then you're not circulating coolant, which would be signs of a failed water pump.
These pumps have been going out a lot around 60,000 to 80,000 miles.
Hope this helps. Good luck. Oh, and I would not drive the car much if this problem persists.
