Be sure to be mindful of your tire pressures. I have a 2004 VW R32 that will get very bad wear on the inside of both rear tires if I'm not vigilant on keeping the pressures at spec.

An update for whoever may be interested in my outcome, now or in the future when searching for this issue:
I had my scheduled maintenance performed today and had a long chat with the service advisor regarding these issues. They did recommend and perform the 4 wheel alignment ($390), but advised against rotating the tires at this time or shaving them. They mentioned the front tires will always wear out faster than the rear tires and they will eventually catch up and even each other out. Some measurements were taken and I was informed all was well.

Wheel works in Cal offers life time alignment for $189 which I bought and get checked every 6 months.
Also rotate and balance the tires every 3 months.
