My next used car in about 5 or 6 years. . .

Sick...just sick.
As much as I love the newer Audi's I think they're getting way to expensive and they're not depreciating like they used to.
I don't know how I'll ever afford one.
Kudos to those who can.
There's an RS4 down the street from my house for sale and I drool over it everytime I drive by...

How can you say they are not depreciating like they used to? It only seems that way because the list prices are so much higher than they used to be. Most three year old Audi's sell for half of original list prices.

Yeah
I marvel at how the older S cars hold their value in comparison to B5 cars. In many (or some) cases a UrS4 or UrS6 will go for more than a B5 car (A4 OR S4).
The newer cars have some neat stuff, but in the long run who knows how they will be compared to the older stuff.

My point was...
a 20 year old RS6/RS4/R8/etc, etc will never be a cheap as you can find a 4000/5000/100/200, etc. I can't count how many times we've bought Audi's for under $300 or free. I don't see that happening with the newer cars.

We'll probably never again see.....
the level of depretiation brought about by the whole unnintended acceleration debacle.
They sold very few cars during the late 80s/early ninetys. Very few shops know how to work on them. (even though they are simple to us). New parts are rediculously high so prices for those cars are next to nothing.
Prices on some of the complicated newer Audis are dropping fast though. I'd love to have a B5 S4 Avant but I can't stand that crowd. Old school Audis are the best because of the people that keep them going. That hasn't happened with the new cars yet.
