??? fuel pump relay

Default ??? fuel pump relay

to start. i ws getting a cut out( a sort of pulse) and loss of power,, at 72-74 mph.. then the check engine light lights up..checked the codes ..yup 4433.. so i pulled the relay, instaled a new one, cleared the code.. drove the car..(early 1990 coupe, can of snakes headers ) got up to speed yup.. smae soght pulse and check engine light.. got a relay off a freinds car( knowing that on works well)instaled it.. got of to speed... pulse, check engine light...so i thought.. hum.. mabey the fuel pupm is working way to hard..i looked at the fuel filter, it looked old.. so i changed that.. speed.. same thing agian..took it to a local shop here in davis, to get the codes cleared...long story here, so i won't get into it, but i am not going back.. lets just say, the shop owner, told me it was illegle to go above 70 mph here in cal.i work at a car dealership, and i would never be that rude to a customer, but he was more than happy to take my money for not fixing the codes( i have now leanerd how to clear the codes myself now)but what could be causing the problem..i did have an injector code, but i have the 034 adapters in my car now, and 5 new injectors form a 3.8 supercharged pontiac,, 29 lbs/hr. and a really cool fogging pattern..i now get 28-30 mpg at 70 mph now, but i still get that bloddie light at 74 ish...maybe the fuel pum is going out , causeing this light to turn on? thanks

check your O2 sensor, just replace it. Sometimes it tests fine, but kicks out under stress. Hard to detect. So if you haven't done it in a while I would suggest that.

https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho....php?t=2773984 refer to my last post on this thread before you just replace the o2 sensor no point in throwing money at it before ya atleast try n test it. Other then that I'm not terribly sure, could also be a short in your electrical system though that's a little more unlikely, I think. And before you pull codes your running it up to temp and over 3000 rpm a good bit then leaving it running after you park while pulling codes right?
