As many of you know I am new to the whole modding thing and see myself taking baby steps (ala the S4 Door Blades, S4 Grill and Vibrant tips) before I go all out nuts on doing expensive things to improve the "show" and "go" of my A4. One of the things that I want to do but don't want to break the bank doing is upgrading wheels from the stock 16's that my 3.0 came with to a set of used 17's. I have come across some used sets of some 17's which I am interested in.

1) Stock OEM 5 spoke 17s that come on '02-'05 B6 Sport Package Models; or 2)a set of 17" BBS RC wheels. Here's a couple of pics of the same car with both sets of wheels. Between these two options what do you think looks better? If you were me what would you do? TIA for your insight.

Like #2 better (no giggling), but #1 has that factory sport look.

I think that the BBS wheels look more "dressy" than the sporty five spoke wheels. Not sure if it would blend with your other mods, S4 door blades, grille, and (eventually) rear spoiler. Kinda like wearing wingtips with your running clothes.

Stock five spokes, RC's are fussy.

It's all really just personal preference. RC's look a little too busy for me.

RC's are nice, but the 5 spokers look more "forceful" to me. Also you'll find yourself liking how much easier they are to clean.

but I would also considerkeeping options open and seeing if other 17"s from other companies pop up.

I'd say #1....the other's scream A6 to me, don't ask why.
