Reference to new RS4
Right at the end of the article. New S4 for 2009 , RS4 not until 2011. Also then DSG type transmission available with 450 HP.

Though they were right on the money with the last invasion from Mars!
I know they are a division of "Bild" which is like "Sun" or "Daily Mirror" in UK, but they seem to have the inside scoop many times. I've been reading German car mags for decades, and those predictions are pretty reliable most of the time.
I have to say that I'd be surprised if the new RS4 took so long to be released.

someone at cash straddled VW(probably Porsche bean counters) are messing with the plans. the talk as recently as 6 months ago at Audi was an expansion of the RS models, not either or scenarios(i.e. can't build the RS6 and RS4 at the same time). IMO.
