Default Weird marking on/in paint???

So i was washing and waxing my car today and noticed something really odd...

Looks like a oil stain or something, almost bluish on the inside... anyway here is a photo. Anyone have any ideas? I washed it and waxed it and it would not come off... i can't even feel it. Almost like it is under or part of the paint. I also could have sworn it wasn't there before. Weird. Any insights appreciated.

thanks

Don't know what it is but it is very simple, if there is no marking or chip from a stone than bring it back to dealer and ask them to fix it. Just make sure that the clearcoat is not scratched or chipped. As long as you run your finger nail over it and there is no abrasion than your dealer should be able to fix it.
Where is it on the car?

It is really small, about 3mm maybe. One the passenger door.

Etching from something nasty that was on the paint - like really acidic bird poop, bug guts or some sort of bad solvent. Get a professional to look at it and they might be able to take care of it.

Manage to get it out with some scratch remover.

Could be sap, etched paint from bird droppings, acid rain, or exposure to some unknown chemical.

I had a very similar issue from some bird poo. My car had wax on it at the time but it still left the blemish, I got mine out with some clear coat prep from Meguiars, but it took a few applications. Not impressed with the clear coat / paint on these cars. My 04 S4 paint has held up much better, I assume it is a different formulation, but only Audi knows.

I am equally not impressed with the paint quality. I already have a couple of rock chips on the panel next to the rear wheels.

all paint is water based now, for a while we saw a large number of blemishes all over the place as paint shops are getting used to the new procedures/products.
careful on the products to use as most are still for the oil type paint.

I have had similar spots on occasion on my S4 (phantom black) and they polish out pretty easily with menzerna final finish and an orange pad.
