TPMS, Engine Oil warnings come on at same time
Audi A6, 2008. While driving, either my TPMS or Engine Oil will come on. Usually, the other of the two comes on within a couple of minutes. I first thought this happened whenever I changed elevation by 2000 feet or more, but it happens within just 500 or so, so I don't think that is a factor.
Oil level is good, tire pressures are spot on what is stated on the door panel.
Resetting the TPMS (with Change Wheels/tires), it usually comes back on within a few minutes.
The only way to reset the Oil warning is to unscrew the oil filler cap. Doing that also resets the TPMS. This gives me another 50 to 200 miles before it starts over again.
Are these linked somewhere? Software? Are there software upgrades?
