Newbie Allroad oil burning issues!
Hi To all. New Allroad owner here. Many. Thanks in advance for any help dispensed! Brief history. Bought a really really clean 2003 Allroad, 166k. Owner told me he'd done the belts, airbags and turbos. He couldn't find the paper work as he was moving house so he said he'd send me the paperwork, I know I was too trusting.... Within an hr of picking the vehicle up, I had no AC, blows but warm. Windshield washer not working and most importantly a prominent smell of burning oil inside the cabin. Then I noticed when I stopped grey smoke and again a strong smell coming out of the exhausts, possibly more prominent on the passenger side. called the owner numerous times and surprise surprise he's not answering his phone, straight to voicemail. So, for my unusual apparent trust in this guy it looks like I've inherited a large and expensive bag of problems. I would be eternally grateful if anyone of you Allroad experts can help me out before I have to confess I've just bought a lemon!!!! Many thanks Paul.

Update...
Hi Guys. Thanks to all who viewed. Quick update. Ac is now fixed. Fuse blown and a recharge did the trick. Obviously there's a small leak somewhere but I'll deal with that at later date is it's the least of my worries at this point!! Windshield washer I'm assuming is going to be straight forward... I've ordered a new pump so I'll see if that cures it. As far as the oil burning issues goes , I'm thinking the turbos are leaking because it smell and grey trickle of smoke only seems to happen if the turbos kick in a higher revs. Any thoughts would be great! Thanks to all.
